The Arts

Acclaimed collaborations from design to install of experiential art pieces showcasing around the world, from Europe to the Americas and Asia.

Fly

Over to Moscow's ArtPlay Centre

“The interactive installation studies the movement of objects and insects together within a confined space. Inside a glass vitrine, an abstract representation of a fly is held captive, centrally entrapped by eight cables.  Seeking to understand the collective mind,  the ‘insect’ is controlled by an autonomous algorithm which accurately simulates the observed behaviour of real flies. A video camera featured on the ‘fly’ moves according to the behaviour of the person who enters the room. If several people are present, the camera moves chaotically from one to the other.”

Fly

Fly in Action

The Fly movement is never repetitive or entirely predictable since it is always reacting to its surroundings in a precise and smooth manner. This is a true case of mixing art and technology where the Artist’s ideas are accomplished and delivered using sophisticated motion control.

Fly

Mosi's Take

This was a challenging 8-Axis Synchronization application carefully implemented with many years of industrial control experience to showcase the artist’s desires and views.

Tower

Nighttime Tower Time Lapse

This urban waterfall provided a splash of waterfall experience in Germany, with visitors able to stand under the full force of the water fall and seek shelter within it's walls intermittently.

My primary take-away is why should we recreate nature instead of preserving it in the first instance? Recent generations, at the behest of forces unseen have sought to centralize control and rebuild - thereby incrementally removing us from rich and established landscapes within which our ancestors bloomed.
