RR Golf & Rueben’s Retreat Charity Event

Well done Tanaka and Mulemba on a brilliant performance over the 2 days. RRGolf held this tournament on 4^th and 5^th  to raise funds for Rueben’s Retreat. 2M sponsored one hole for £150, which was giving out prizes for the nearest to the Pin contest. The whole thing raised £2,250.

RRGolf is Rudi Ryan’s golf tutoring organization in Rochdale. Embracing individual coaching needs, Rudi enjoys opening up the sport to children and women.

Here’s what Mulemba has to say about RRGolf:

I arranged my first golf lesson with Rudi last year as I was determined to get into golf. As we got chatting I found out that he coaches juniors. I registered my then 7-year old with him and I TOOK a back seat. A year later and my now 8-year old absolutely loves golf and looks forward to his lessons with Rudi every Saturday. My son and I now go out for at least 9 holes together every week. Thanks Rudi. Couldn’t possibly have asked for more!!!

The charity was set up by Rueben’s parents after his sudden death from a brain tumour in 2021, with the aim of supporting families with medical complexities in a retreat environment.

Reading through the charity page, I do hope that collectively we are able to truly understand what impacts our most vital organs so that lives are not lost suddenly or prematurely. I continue this theme in the penultimate paragraph of the blog post “Wood it Be Magic”.
