The Ironclad Case for Cladding
In an age of ever increasing environmental awareness, our cars are still parked on the driveways and our pans are still bubbling away on gas cookers. Here we are in a seeming bind, wanting the best for our planet yet embroiled in the modern way of life. So oil and gas reserves take on an enhanced importance. Extracting them with minimal waste and to the highest standard becomes a point of absolute necessity.
That’s where cladding comes in. The search for reserves heads further away from shorelines, and into ever deeper waters. The pipes required to extract the elements must be incredibly strong and robust. Cladding being the process of meticulously fusing protective material onto steel pipes in layer upon layer of defense. The smoother the surface of the layers, the less friction and flow resistance will be experienced by the pipes. In turn, these factors again positively affect the lifespan, safety, and security of the pipes in action.
